When you’re having one of those days, weeks, or even years — when things aren’t going as you had hoped — what do you do? It could be the loss of a job, an illness, the death of a close friend or family member, or an addiction to something that’s hurting you and perhaps those around you. You may feel like giving up, but don’t. God’s plans are bigger and better than our circumstances. Cry out to Him for help. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” – Isaiah 40:29. Turn to the Scriptures — the Psalms are loaded with good advice and comfort. Talk to someone you can trust. Perhaps the pastor at your church, or a godly friend. You don’t have to have it all figured out, just take the first step. “For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” – Psalm 18: 31-23 NIV
