This air popped popcorn makes a great snack for a children’s sleepover party, movie night, or whenever! It’s flavored with Nutritional Yeast, which is deactivated yeast with a cheesy flavor, making it a perfect cheese substitute in vegan cooking.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Great Northern Popcorn Kernels or other Non-GMO brand
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
- 2 tablespoons Brag Nutritional Yeast Seasoning*
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
Directions:
- Pop the kernels without butter or oil in a Rival Electric Popcorn Maker or other hot air popper according to the machine’s directions, in batches if necessary.
- In a large bowl combine oil, nutritional yeast, and salt. Stir until well combined. Add the popcorn and toss to coat, then serve with a Bubbly Lime Refresher or other non-sugar soft drink.
Variations:
- For spicy popcorn, add to the ingredients 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, or to taste.
- For green tea popcorn, add to the ingredients 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder, or to taste.
- For garlic basil popcorn, add to the ingredients 1/2 teaspoon dried basil and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste.
