A simple way to sauté bok choy. And you’ll love the taste!
Ingredients:
- 4 green or purple bok choy, sliced in half
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low sodium gluten-free vegetable broth
- 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
Directions:
- Stir into the vegetable broth the salt, pepper, and five-spice powder. Set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Add the garlic and Sauté on medium-high heat for 1 minute.
- Add the bok choy. Use cooking tongs to flip and coat.
- Stir the vegetable broth mixture again, and pour it over the bok choy. Partly cover with a lid and let simmer for 2 minutes or until wilted.
- Remove from heat, transfer to a platter, and serve immediately.
Yield: Makes 2 to 4 servings.
