Muesli is usually made with rolled oats, dried fruit, nuts* and seeds. Add cold almond milk and you’ve got a cereal for breakfast or brunch. Sprinkle a desired amount over coconut kefir yogurt and you’ve got an anytime snack. It’s easy to make and tastes marvelous!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup raw almonds
- 1/4 cup raw cashews
- 1/4 cup raw walnuts
- 1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds, hulled
- dash of cinnamon
- pinch stevia (optional)
Directions:
- Place dried cranberries and nuts on a cutting board. Use a sharp chefs knife to cut into small pieces.
- Place in a large bowl along with the remaining ingredients and stir with a spoon, or in a tightly sealed container and shake until fully mixed.
- Serve with cold Almond Milk or Coconut Kefir Yogurt. Stores refrigerated in a tightly sealed container for up to three months.
Variations:
- Replace the walnuts with pecans, or any of the nuts with your favorite kinds.
- Replace the sunflower seeds with hemp seeds.
- Replace the dried cranberries with other dried fruit. You might try raisins, goji berries, or dried apricots.
- Just before serving with either almond milk or coconut kefir yogurt, add fresh fruit or berries, such as sliced bananas or strawberries.
- If you like, add unsweetened coconut shreds.

* Be sure to choose raw unsalted nuts. And since non-organic nuts are often processed using artificial chemicals, look for ones that are certified organic. You can find raw organic nuts at nuts.com, as well as raw organic seeds and organic dried fruits.
