These chips are surprisingly tasty, and good for you! The main ingredient is kale, which is said to be rich in antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, and protein. The other two ingredients (grapeseed oil and himalayan salt) are also thought to have health benefits.
Ingredients:
- 1 large bunch of kale
- 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
- Himalayan salt to taste
Directions:
- Remove the kale’s inner stem and tear into bite-size pieces. Wash the pieces in a salad spinner and spin dry. Spin twice if necessary, then place the pieces on some paper towels for 10 or so minutes to fully dry.
- Transfer the dry kale pieces into a gallon size Ziploc Slider Storage Bag. Add the grapeseed oil, seal the bag, and shake to coat. You can also “massage” the kale from outside the bag to ensure that each piece is covered in oil.
- Arrange the kale on a large baking sheet in a single layer, sprinkle with salt, and bake in a preheated 350° F oven for 20 minutes or until crisp with slightly browned edges. Let cool, and serve. Cool thoroughly before storing in an airtight container or bag for up to 2 days.
