I would rather keep learning, come what may, to offer others the grace which God gives me, than for God to grant me, only that measure of grace that I have had towards others. It is in my favor that God has not been fair to me. I can still complain. I can still withhold grace and forgiveness towards others. But with God in my heart, I cannot do so for long. Whether I humble myself and remember all He’s done for me, or be humbled until I remember, this is something the believer can thank Him for. “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” – Luke 6:38
