If you’re looking for a tasty ABC juice, then you’ve come to the right place! Like most ABC juices, this one is also named after the first letters of its main ingredients; apple, beet, and carrot. This recipe also includes celery, cilantro, coconut water, filtered water and ice. But we’re calling it ABC Juice because ABCCCCWFWI juice doesn’t roll off the tongue as easily.
Ingredients:
- 2 large carrots, chopped
- 1 medium apple, cored, peeled, and chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 1/2-inch piece beet
- 1/8 bunch cilantro (approximately 6 stems with leaves)
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1 cup ice (approximately 6 ice cubes)
Directions:
- Add the fruit and vegetables and water into a high powered blender container. Blend on low speed then high for 1 minute or until fully blended.
- Add the ice and blend for 1 minute more, or until the ice has completely dissolved. Don’t over blend, or the juice will become warm again. Immediately pour into 2 tall glasses or 4 smaller glasses, and serve! Best when served right after it’s been blended, but stores refrigerated in a covered container for 1 day — which means you can make it in morning to have later that same day, after giving it a stir or shake with a tight fitting lid.
Variations:
- For those who want less texture, pour the juice into the glasses through a fine mesh strainer. This will remove most of the pulp.
- If you prefer to use a juice extractor, juice double the amount of carrots, beat, and apple, and don’t juice the celery. Divide the juice between 2 tall glasses. Add to each glass a desired amount of ice and filtered water or coconut water. Stir. Before serving, garnish each with a small stalk of celery (optional).
Yield: Makes 2 (16oz) glasses or 4 (80z) glasses
